Facebook and twitter are the most popular social media platforms for brands to be present on, followed by youtube and linkeden. Almost all brands have their own website, which they still believe to work better than the social media sites for their products.

Brands are advertising on the web, social and mobile, and driving traffic across channels by cross-linking various platforms to attract users to their digital touch point.

Digital has become the new normal and easy-going consumers have become more discerning, informed and vocal. The demand for better products and great customer service has pushed the FMCG companies to better themselves to stay ahead in the game.

FMCG

THE FUTURE OF FAST MOVING CONSUMER GOODS….

Pitambari Innovative products

INDIA is changing rapidly as a society and as a consumer culture. The FMCG sector has grown at an annual average of about 11 per cent over the last decade.

Growing awareness, easier access, and changing lifestyles have been the key growth drivers for the consumer market. The government of India’s policies and regulatory frameworks such as relaxation of license rules and approval of 51 per cent foreign direct investment (FDI) in multi-brand and 100 per cent in single brand retail are major growth factors.

FMCG has three main segments:
Food and beverages

Let’s have a look at the changing trends in the FMCG market.

There has been a dramatic growth of smart phone users in India, the shift in purchase behavior towards online buying, dominated by mobile phones. Preference are now clearly extending beyond the original product categories of electronics and fashion to include food and grocery as well as local origin products. So most products are simply a click away.

2. Better service!!
The consumer has become very demanding and with increased competition in the market, most companies strive to be the very best at customer service. Consumers are now seeking a clutter and trouble free experience, enabled by technology and better quality sales people.

3. Health is wealth!!
People have increasingly become health conscious and want to purchase products that are wholesome and healthy. There is a marked consumer shift towards products and services that are perceived to be relatively healthy and less harmful and enhance people’s sense of physical and mental wellness.

4. We want it easy!!
Cash-rich but time-starved consumers are seeking new dimensions in convenience by knowledge to help them navigate to the right products and services that are relevant to them.

5. Social networks!!
The concept of ‘crowd clout’ is gaining significance as consumers realize that their collective networks are enabling them to demand improved products and services from companies

To conclude we can very well state that ‘consumer is king’ is the growing concept of the FMCG market with the consumer being more aware, educated and demanding. Companies need to be able to provide not just good quality products but also the very best customer service.

Please, don’t pass the sugar.

Pitambari Products

The harmful effects of sugar go way beyond empty calories.

ARE YOU….tired? Rundown? Not sleeping well? Are your favorite clothes at the back of your closet because of all that extra weight??
BLAME IT ON THE SUGAR!

As a self-diagnosed sugar addict, it has always been a battle to say no to my favorite sweets and desserts. But the evil effects of sugar had me searching for healthier options. Nothing worked, sugar-free supplements had their own trappings.

Until I decided to go back to our traditional ways.

Jaggery. Yes gur! How many times have we been given a little piece of that sweet delight by our grandmothers, or seen our moms make those special modaks and puran polis with jaggery. There is more to jaggery than just its sweet taste.

Jaggery is made from the juice of sugarcane which is heated to produce thick crystals. It is considered healthier than refined sugar as certain plant phytochemicals and minerals are present in it. Jaggery provides many essential nutrients and has a lot of health benefits too!

Jaggery: nourishes the skin, rids you off those acnes, delays the visible signs of aging, regulates bowel movements, reduces PMS and surprisingly aids in weight loss since it boosts metabolism and reduces water retention.

Most people think that jaggery can only be used to make traditional recipes like modak, gud ka halva or puran polis. But that is far from the truth, because of its unique taste and aroma jaggery can be used to whip up some very mouthwatering dished like:
  • Sticky toffee pudding, a very popular dessert from Britain, the cake sponge is filled with dates and served with a warm walnut and jaggery sauce.
  • Zaffrani pulao, rice cooked with saffron infused with milk, jaggery, nuts and ghee. The sweetness and nuttiness of the rice is simply Devine.
  • Crackling duck and lettuce rolls, oven cooked duck breast strips, drizzled with spiced palm jaggery sauce rolled into a lettuce leaf…
So make the change today. Get rid of that malicious sugar and adopt the nourishing jaggery.

The RuchiyanaJaggery powder by Pitambari is a superior quality product and an excellent way to start your new and healthy life.
